Sharing the Stage with Lookout Valley Middle/High

On Saturday, March 1, the Mid-South Symphonic Band performed at Lookout Valley Middle/High School.  The Lookout Valley Band of Gold was hosting their annual fundraiser, used to support their participation in ETSBOA Lower Area Concert Performance Assessment.  The event started with a spaghetti supper, was followed by music from the Band of Gold, and finished with three pieces from the Mid-South Band.

This is not the first time the Mid-South Symphonic Band has joined forces with Lookout Valley. Shannon Hornady-Fowler is the band director for the Band of Gold and plays baritone with the Mid-South Band.  “It’s a treat when musicians from the Mid-South Band play at our school.  It gives the band students here a taste of what musical opportunities are available after high school,” said Fowler.  Plus we all get to enjoy the spaghetti supper!
